This is part of the well known Outlander series. I was intending to read it, but now have decided I haven't the time to devote to a new series. I hope someone else can enjoy it.

RELEASE NOTES:

The Vancouver main library holds an annual book festival called "Word on the Street". This year (2006) it's Sunday, Sept. 24th. I'm going to be leaving a number of books down there including this one.

I was volunteering at the Word on the Street event. While I was cleaning up, I found this book lying on a chair. Later I found out that it was a "travelling" book and I became very excited, as I haven't met one of those before. I will hopefully read it and pass it on to someone else.

My friend dropped it into my bag the other day. (she volunteered at the Word on the Street festival) I am leaving for Nagpur, India tomorrow via Toronto, London, and Mumbai. I hope to read it along the way and find a place to leave it. This book is going international!!!

I would not normally read a long book based on travelling through time, but this story was fascinating! It was about the era post Culloden Moor - a subject very close to my heart as the battle took place very close to where my family lived and owned land. both the Duke of Cumberland and Bonnie Prince Charlie took food and shelter at our family castle right there near the battlefield.
