Great book, all the stories in this book were very well written. I enjoyed reading those stories and the different facts about Vaginas and stuff.

25 cents? Bargainous!

Wow, this is so perfect. :) I went to Glastonbury festival and saw the Vagina Monologues performed, and I loved it. Straight away I decided I'd love to have a copy - and when I return, here it is!

Thank you so much. If ever I have anything on my AVL that you have your eye on, let me know.

10 out of 10

Even though it was quite far away on my chronological TBR shelf, I had one of those spine-shuddering smear things today so I took it with me to read in the waiting room. Naturally I had to wait half an hour, and by the time they called me through I didn't want to stop reading it! Possibly reading the play while going through the ordeal would have made it more bearable, hehe...

Anyway, I finished it just now and I absolutely love it. I would really like to keep this copy, but I also would hate for it not to travel, so I'm going to send it on a UK bookring. :) I will advertise it in as many places as I can, I'm sure it'll get a lot of readers, I already have a few ladies in mind. Good luck, little book!

My favourite ones were Coochi Snorcher, The Woman Who Loved To Make Vaginas Happy and The Vulva Club. I also saw it performed very expertly by some amazing women at Glastonbury Festival 2007. Wow!

BOOKRING!

I would like it back at the end, please! Funny stories and recollections who've seen this play "live" would be most welcome, and favourite stories too.

Rules:

  • UK only please.
  • To take part, please PM me.
  • Please try to pass it on within a month. If you can't, please journal to explain so we know the book is safe.
  • I list my bookrings at The Bookring Directory!
  • If a player is not responding to PMs, skip them and try the next person on the list. Say you have done so in the journal entry.

Finished! Will write a proper journal entry later, PMing the next in line

ETA 05 May 2008: Hmm, I hoped for more from this book... Probably need to see it performed to get impressed. The idea is original and important, but I've read much better books in my life that left me thinking my life over, but definitely not this one.

This was a very easy read, as the chapters are so short in places. I did get some strange looks from my boyfriend because I was laughing in places but trying to explain why just didn't work. I would like to go and see the stage show now, just for the enjoyment of shouting some of these words out loud !!!!

Sending off to Carriehhh

I received this in the post today from Minkymoo76 - thank you! I'm mid-way through Shteyngart's Absurdistan at the moment, but as soon as I'm done with that it'll be vagina time.

Can't wait!

This was a great book and a very easy read. Each monologue was interesting and all were varied, although I found the stories about V-day more moving than the contents of the monologues themselves. I'm going to try and be part of V-day this year.

Vagina vagina vagina!
