I love this book and all the others by Laurie Notaro. She does a great job of capturing the idiot we all are inside. I started reading Laurie when she wrote for the State Press at ASU and have since read all of her books!

It was like reading part of the story of my life (Ages 0 -25, and maybe some late 30's thrown in). Laurie Notaro is a laugh riot! Must find more of her writing. So glad I got exposed to her.

Thanks, caridad! Just received it in the mail today. It's next in line once I finish a book group book that I'm halfway through. I'm looking forward to it.
Finished this book up last night. Definitely moments in which I was laughing out loud....my husband looked over at me and asked if I was all right at one point. It was fun for me to read as I normally don't read "humor" books of this sort. So, that was fun.
I must say though that her life sounded absolutely exhausting to me! I'm too far removed from my time in college to think about ingesting that much alcohol (and the fact that I would have to deal with my 3 kids in the morning gives me further pause).
She certainly has a way with words and it should prove an amusing read for the next folks on the list. I'll make another journal entry when I send this to book-man-8 tomorrow. I'm including a postcard of the area where I live so you can see one of the stops that the book made.

This book was funny in some parts and just okay in others. It was a quick easy read, but not one of my favorites. Thank you elfgirlsmom and shellheap for sharing it. I will mail it to vainilla79 this week.

I finished the book some days ago and I really enjoyed some parts of the book... you should see me laughing in the train on my way to work, while reading the book, lol:D

Hurrah this book has made its way through the entire ring and back to me! It's full of wonderful postcards and notes! I am so exited to have been able to share it with all of you, it's visited some great places and is now safe back in Arizona. Lori is no longer living in Arizona but comes back often to visit and has had several book signings here, the next time she is in town for one I will have to bring this along for her to sing and let her know about its travels!
