Dog adventures and misadventures of all kinds occur in busy King Street Kennels. When a hotel for pampered pooches opens up the road, the Parkers face disaster, with all their customers being stolen. But sometimes pampering isn't what a dog needs.

Charlie is young pup who needs somewhere to stay. The Parkers want him to come to King Street, but they've got a rival. Pretty Paws is a posh dog hotel - and they want Charlie, too!

Oh, we got this book with Satya (in the picture) at Helsinki last weekend. This was a lovely surprise, we love to read books about golden retrievers! Thank you so much, Annelis for this early Christmas surprise! :)

This was a lovely book about dogs & children & we really enjoyed reading it with Satya. We enjoyed it so much that this morning I didn't go to work early -I stayed at home instead and finished reading the book...:) It was really cute story and all the dogs vere adorable... And the best part, of course, were all the golden retrievers! :)

If I ever get a large dog it'll most probably be a golden retriever. I've always had small spaniels, cockers and cavaliers. Now I've been dogless for over a year *deeeeeeep sigh* but my life situation is such that I can't have a dog. Instead I'm Mary Poppins to friends' dogs on my weeks of work.
My home is a 5 star dog hotel; staying here includes long walks (naturellement!),top quality dinners, dancing (why isn't there a show called "Dancing with the Dogs" on TV???), massage, singing and reading aloud!
I also go to the dogs' home and stay there with the dog if the dog feels more comfortable in his/her home environment.

Now back to this book.
I had an evening of Puppy Patrol and Santa Paws last night. There was an almost storm last night, hard wind, lots of rain, I was snuggling up on the sofa with tea and tomato&mozzarella sandwiches and doggie books. Not a care in the world! It was such a good evening.
This was a really good story about dogs and taking proper care of them. I always get so angry when I hear of mistreated animals. This book had me growling a few times. at the end everything turned out for the best. Which was good!
