Michael & Pauline meet in December 1941 when Pauline comes into the Anton's grocery store with a cut on her head. Michael puts a bandage on Pauline's head and they fall in love, or what they think is love.

This book reminded me a lot of "Back When We Were Grown-ups" also by Tyler (I read that book in 07/2004). It was an ok read, nothing to earth shattering.
