Ever After

Bought this book at the Galleywood library book sale.
I've now read it and don't really know why the author bothered to tell the story. He deals with some big topics such as infidelity, uncertain paternity and suicide but the whole exercise seems pretty pointless.

Picked up at ACL bookshelf
Whilst the subject matter of the book did not make it enjoyable, there was much to be read into in this book. Unlike the first journaller I did not take against the writer's style and I found he packed in much in the 260 odd pages. I particularly liked the idea of linking stories from the 1860's to the 1930's to 1980's -90's and the reflective nature of the prose.
