The book arrive yesterday and I read it last night :-) I have been reading quite a lot of books by Evanovich lately and even though all the familiar ingredients where there I just loved this book. It was funny and romantic and I even had tears in my eyes at one point. And Elsie was just hilaríous.

book arrived today -- thanks for sending it to me. of course it came if another ring book!! -- surprised?? -- not I.

I will get to it within a month and then comment on it and send it off to the next reader.

sept 5 ~ started reading this one.

sept 5 ~ pm'd southernfryed for address in order to send it as soon as I finish it.

sept 7 ~ finished this one last night. As per usual Evanovich does not disappoint. I found myself laughing out loud quite a bit. I loved Elsie -- she reminded me of Grandma Mazur -- who is one of my favorite characters. The story-line was entertaining and light and truly enjoyable.

Thanks for sharing this one.

from the book:
Smitten is the story of a single mom with a fixer-upper house and a desperate need to find a job. Desperate times call for desperate measures and our single mom talks a local carpenter into giving her a position on his crew. Okay, so it's a pity position, and she knows zip about construction, but it's a start, right? And, of course, the carpenter is gorgeous and sexy and single. And there's a goofy dog, and a naked stalker, and another memorable appearance by Elsie Hawkins.

I enjoyed this book. It is not on its way to collectorkerri.

Not one of Janet's better books. I read it in its entirety on a flight from San Diego to Chicago and found it to be OK vacation reading, but nothing to write home about.

After a delay due to PMs not received, it's on its way to top-tappser.

Journal Entry 11 by top-tappser from Lake Tapps, Washington USA on Wednesday, November 8, 2006
Received in the mail today. I will make it next on my reading list.

I finished it this morning and have pm'd timollie5502 for her address.

I loved the book. Fast and easy read, that made me laugh out loud. My son thought I was loosing it. Aunt Elsie is the best and reminds me of my husband's Aunt Elsie in many ways.

Journal Entry 21 by wingPlum-crazywing from Brighouse, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Sunday, July 22, 2007
Apologies for the delay in journalling this book!

It actually arrived on Saturday 7th July just as we were leaving for our holidays so I didn't have time to journal it......however, apparently my mum read it while we were away so it's had two readers for the price of one! I will start it later this week but I'm just halfway through Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows & I want to finish that before some one spoils the end for me!

....oh & by the way, my mum enjoyed it!

Journal Entry 22 by wingPlum-crazywing from Brighouse, West Yorkshire United Kingdom on Monday, July 30, 2007
I loved this- as I knew I would! What can I say? Well, I think Janet's quote at the end of the book sums it up for me...

" Romance novels are birthday cake & life is often peanut butter & jelly.
I think everyone should have lots of delicious romance novels lying around for those times when the peanut butter of life gets stuck to the roof of your mouth"

I actually finished it a few days ago but didn't want to journal it til I knew where it's going next & that is to.......elis-from-sweden. Hope you enjoy it & all the best on the forth coming birth of your baby.

Journal Entry 23 by wingelis-fromSwedenwing from Stenstorp, Västergötland Sweden on Monday, August 6, 2007
The book arrived today. Thank you so much for offering it and sending it to me.

There is no baby yet but the present attached to the book made me really happy. You are sweet!

I will put this in my tbr-pile and hopefully I''ll have some time to read during the fall.

Journal Entry 24 by wingelis-fromSwedenwing from Stenstorp, Västergötland Sweden on Sunday, July 6, 2008
It took me a while to get started on this book. Now I have read a few chapters and I can tell I will really like this book. It has had me giggled and laughing already. It is not that easy to get too much read with a 10 month old boy "running" around. It will have to be when he is put to bed.

I will get back here and share my thoughts with you, once I get to the end of the book.

Journal Entry 25 by wingelis-fromSwedenwing from Stenstorp, Västergötland Sweden on Thursday, July 10, 2008
I finished the book today during my lunch break. I have started to work again. As I commute everyday I get some reading done on the train, it's a short ride so it isn't much but still it adds up to a book eventually.

I liked this book although I thought it was most fun in the beginning. It was a light enjoyable and quite typical romance novel. I wouldn't mind reading more of Janet Evanovich some day. I understand she is a favourite of many.

Thanks for sharing the book with me.

Thank you very much,it was a very good choice,as I've just "got into" Janet Evanovich as I have just finished reading the first Plum novel, and I really enjoyed it. I will add it to Mt TBR,which I'm working my way through, and I'm looking forward to reading it and then sending it on its way again.

I received this some time last week but had forgotten to journal it. I am looking forward to this. As a self confessed Janet Evanovich fan - especially Plums, I am sure that I will love this. I have a current read and this will be the next on the TBR pile!!!

Journal Entry 31 by birmingham-rose from Burntwood, Staffordshire United Kingdom on Tuesday, April 7, 2009
I forgot to journal this when I had finished it. Well it wasn't my favorite by the author, I'm a true fan of Stephanie Plum's. This book was overall enjoyable though and a quick and easy read.

I've just PM'd someone as this is on their wishlist too, so I am trying to stick to the trend by only sending it to someone who really wants to read it.

Thank you to Yorkshire-Lass for thinking of me and also to Plum Crazy for the Ray it Forward, and of course book-man-8 for starting the ray originally.

Watch this space for details of the next RABCK!!!!
