Some of the students at my high school rave about the book. I really don't know much about it.

Huge thanks to bookscout for finding this & sending to me, along with the others. The parcel arrived last week & I'd forgotten all about it, so it was a wonderful surprise.

Will get on with reading as soon as have got through books on rings & rays ...

This sank for a while, but finally bobbed to the top of ocean of books to be read.

I had vague memories of the film, but wasn't sure what to expect. The eponymous vampire is a sympathetic character and the sexual overtones of the myth, ignored in some tratments, become more and more explicit as the book goes on. With this in mind, the life - or rather post-death-life - of the little girl are particularly disturbing.

Although I found this book difficult to read in places, it was good and I would like to read more books by this author.

Book was posted to sunflowergirl yesterday.

Journal Entry 9 by sunflowergirl from Carlisle, Cumbria United Kingdom on Saturday, April 12, 2008
The book arrived with me this week, thanks for sending it on to me ArabellaFigg. Strangely enough, it could actually have been passed on to me in person as I'm also studying at Hull Uni (I'm doing English). We'll have to try and have a meet up!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to reading this book. It's another one on the 1001 list so I'm keen to read it. It may take me a few weeks to get to it as it's coming up to exam time and I've got sooo much work to do. I won't hang on to it for too long though.

Journal Entry 10 by sunflowergirl from Carlisle, Cumbria United Kingdom on Friday, May 23, 2008
I'm sorry that I'm slow getting to this book, I've been so busy with Uni work recently that I just haven't had chance to read anything other than books related to my course. I've now finished my exams and am looking forward to catching up with some reading. I do have a few ring books here at the moment but I'll be racing through them now I have the time! I'll journal this again as soon as I've read it.

Journal Entry 11 by sunflowergirl from Carlisle, Cumbria United Kingdom on Wednesday, March 11, 2009
I'm so sorry that I've hung on to this book for such a long time. I know that I'm not in the right frame of mind to be reading much at the moment having just gone through a bereavement so I'm going to get this sent to garibaldisghost. I'm going to the Post Office this afternoon so will post it then. Thanks for being so patient with me.

Journal Entry 12 by garibaldisghost from Nottingham, Nottinghamshire United Kingdom on Monday, March 16, 2009
