Since I saw the film film about Sybil I've been interested in the phenomena of split personalities. The mind is a peculiar "machine" that works in mysterious ways to survive horrible abuse. Truddi Chase developed 92 different personalities inside of her during her childhood - each and every on of them protecting her in some way. What is different in this case is that the different personalities, called "The Troops", is writing this book.
