Another great Richard Preston non-fiction science (true story) book! This time about smallpox, the greatest threat to mankind. Another must-read. A modern book for modern times, unfortunately. As Preston summarizes in the last paragraph: "The virus's last strategy for survival was to bewitch its host and become a source of power."
Sad, frightening and true.
