We dropped in to the Book City book store on Danforth Avenue and found that it has expanded: grown a new wing and a door onto the Carrot Common. We each bought two books. One of mine was this Karres pastiche by three writers.

The Witches of Karres was one of James Schmitz's most popular and appealing books. He left open the door to further adventures but never got back to them. Now, many years later, three writers have continued the story of Captain Pausert and two witch-children, Goth and The Leewit, in their next adventure. And the door remains open for more...
