Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors (Avon Nonfiction)

I saw the movie years ago, and I was glad to find the book. Their story is amazing, their survival and they way they survived is beyond words. If I were in that situation, would I choose to die of starvation, or eat human flesh? God only knows, and I hope I never find out. I definitely recommend this book. If nothing else, it makes one grateful for the necessities that we have.

Received today - thank you! I also watched this movie years ago and look forward to reading the story now.
An older book, but an amazing story! Not only eating the dead bodies, but everything they went through to survive (and what those who suffered and eventually died on the mountain) was incredible! Thank you so much gomboggit for sharing this book with me!
Sending along with 2 other books to JennyC1230 for the bio/humor VBB.

I recently had the opportunity to hear Nando Parrado, one of the survivors, speak. I had never seen the movie nor read the book. Hearing him speak was a life-changing experience!
I'm looking forward to reading the book.
