In the forests of Belorussia in 1942 a group of disabled Russian partisans makes its way to a medical unit while being pursued by traitorous partisans, German soldiers, and vicious dogs.
I got this book by ordering online from a used book store. On its arrival, I find that it's a hardcover book which previously belonged to a high school library in Worthington, Minnesota.

This was an easy read, and appears to be targeted at the young adult reading level. It was a well-done story, with flashbacks and other literary devices. The ending was left with open possibilities to wonder about.
This will be my book for a Belarus author in the Olympic Challenge, and will travel next to Hendertuckian so that she can also have an author from there.

If only this book could talk about its previous life. I will be able to start on this one soon. thanks Hobbit for sending it my way.
I agree with hobbit overall it is a well written book even it it is a easy read. I'm sure it will be enjoyed in it's next home - LeishaCamden.

This arrived in the mail from the US today. I will be reading it as the book from Belarus for my A Book From Every Country challenge. Thank you so much for sharing, hendertuckian!!!
I can't believe I still haven't journaled this ... !! I read the book pretty soon after I got it, but have obviously forgotten to journal it. :-( It was an interesting read, a sad story. A very easy read, clearly not intended entirely for adult readers. :-) Definitely worth reading though, an insight into a part of history that you don't hear much about in my part of the world. Thanks for sharing!!
