The Cat Who Went to Paris
2 journalers for this copy...
Got for my sister's birthday. It was on her wishlist. But then I had to read it before I gave it to her.
The story of a man and his cat. Norton, the cat, calmly charmed everyone, from airline assistants to his master's father. Enjoyable read that had me smiling and even laughing out loud twice.

I received this in the mail today from peggypenguin in IN ... for my birthday. Thanks so much sis!
c. 1991 -- 194 pages -- Trade Paperback -- recommended in Book Lust - Cat Crazy Journal by Libby2 -- Selected by the Book-of-the-Month Club
Back Cover: When the world is your oyster, you need a cat to enjoy it with you. At one time in his life, Peter Gethers, publisher, screenwriter, and author, was a confirmed loner and cat hater. All that changed when a Scottish Fold kitten named Norton entered his life.
Peter opened his heart to Norton and soon they were inseparable. Together they rode the ferry to Fire Island, traversed the subways of Manhattan, traveled on the Concorde to Paris to meet Roman Polanski and Harrison Ford, dated beautiful women, even dined in the world's finest restaurants. Norton knows how to impress simply by being himself -- an amusing and intelligent companion who understands silence, and womankind. He also teaches his fallible owner how to live, love, and be a complete human being. This book proves that sometimes all it takes is paws and personality to change a life.

I finished reading this today. Norton is so adorable ... everyone falls in love with this Scottish Fold. Its not so much about Norton going to Paris, as its about him going everywhere that Peter goes. Some of his adventures are close to unbelivable, compared to my common domestic felines. The last chapter had me shedding a couple tears as my own father's passing is still fresh in recent memory.
