The Penelopiad: The Myth of Penelope and Odysseus
1 journaler for this copy...
Fabulous! I love and adore Margaret Atwood and this is one of the best things she has written in ages.
Atwood retells the story of Penelope and the twelve maids who were murdered on Odysseus's return to Ithaca after 20 years having first gone to Troy to retrieve Helen.
Atwood employs a very modern voice to let us hear Penelope's version of events. This short novel was incredibly readable and I ate it up like undiluted condensed milk!!
I am releasing this book into the wild.
Welcome to Bookcrossing and thanks for taking the trouble to visit this site! I hope you enjoy this book. When you have finished with it, make a journal entry to let me know it found a home then send it back out into the world again for someone else to find. Sharing books is great karma - enjoy this one!
