This is the story of a young Witch during the seventeenth century who emigrates to America to found a new life.
This fell short of what I would expect from a childrens novel. It lacked imagination, was predictable and boring. The character portrayals did not put forward the 'fireiness', that I expected from the description given of the main character. The trial scene seemed like something taken from the Crucible and wasnt original.

Came across this in a charity shop in Sherwood and spotted the BCID discretely written on the inside cover.
I have a copy of this book in my permamnent collection and really enjoyed both this and the sequel Sorceress.

So sorry doodleali for taking so long to journal this book. As you know, YOU were the winner, and yet I am still to get a book out to you..... my excuse? I found out I'm pregnant! Came as a bit of a shock, and it's already turned my world up-side down!
Also, thankyou so much for the stone, I'm not absolutely sure, but is it tiger eye?
Promise promise promise I will get a book out to you before I move. If there's something available on my shelf, just ask away, otherwise I'll just use my judgement.... hope you didn't get too snowed under with books as the sweepstake winner! lol.

WILD RELEASE NOTES:
around Coventry city centre
Well, I just found this book in Coventry on Sunday. I was wondering whether to buy a book at that moment as I was just about to take a 3 hour coach trip back to London and wanted something to read and then I saw the bright pink posit note saying "Free Book Take Me Home".
So I picked up the book, popped it in my bag and headed on to get my coach. It wasn’t until I opened the book that I realised what a unique book it was! I must say that I've never heard of Book Crossing before, so this is all very new and exciting to me.
I'm looking forward to reading...

I released this book on the 4th August, so suprised it's not been picked up yet as it was a great, busy, location that I left it.
Anyway, I must say I agree with Little-Nel I found this book quite pedictable and very much like the Crucible.
But, hey it was a nice little read and a good way for me to find out about book crossing!
