Illustrations by Simms Taback. 1995 Workman trade paperback. The second donation to my OBCZ at 149 York Street, but I'm reserving this for The Chef's Challenge. The 1991 edition had a comb binding, but this is perfect bound.

From Library Journal
Urvater's recipes are designed to enable cooks to serve good healthful food with a minimum of fuss at the end of a busy weekday/workday. Preparation is streamlined but not at the expense of taste; many dishes are simple "family fare," but are neither boring nor unimaginative. Urvater, a food writer and professional chef, avoids complicated advance preparation and menu planning, but most recipes include menu suggestions; there are also ideas for variations and for making a new dish with leftovers For most collections.

From the back cover
You know the problem. It's getting late. Papers are piling up, the phone won't stop ringing. You need to keep working and you need to quit working, and the last thing you're thinking about is dinner. There's no time to plan, no time to shop, no time to think. Now here's the solution. Developed by a chef who also has a family to feed, the award-winning Monday-to-Friday Cookbook shows you how to create delicous, nutritious, no-fuss meals every night of the week. No matter how busy you are.

I've only ever tried one thing at Klekolo, the Icy Bean Cloud -- cold soymilk with lots of flavor shots (vanilla, hazelnut, coconut & banana, I think) and coffee ice cubes. It's so good that I get it every single time.
