Journal Entry 1 by Cassiopaeia from Cardiff, Wales United Kingdom on Thursday, June 29, 2006
I haven't read this one yet, but I think i will add it to my 'to be read pile' as the reviews are good. Will release later. August 2006 This felt a bit stilted at first but the tone of the language and the enchanting hopelessness of the characters gradually entwined me in their story. Many of the reviewers wrote of this as being funny, or a witty black comedy of manners. Maybe it was meant to be funny but I didn't see it in this light, perhaps the fact that I read it while staying in what was once a grand Anglo-Irish house had something to do with the sadness it evoked in me. It was a very good read.
