Carl Hiassen's writing style is really starting to grow on me. So far I have read Skinny Dip, Skin Tight and Lucky You and his book about Disney. I'm going to have to check out more of his stuff.

Since I am done with this book I am going to send it off on a ring.

Lucky you~ or lucky me? Have been morbidly curious of the works of Herr Hiaasen. Not my usual fare, but I was attracted by the unconventional narrative. I will be delving as we speak just got through 4 simultaneous rings, love the challenges!
I want to thank randomelement for letting me be one of the star players and dietcokemama for passing this on so quickly
happy brookcrossing, croboosking and bokchoying

This was my induction into the realm of monsieur hiassen, I have to say I was quite taken in with his inimitable characters, the pariahs and noted he is apparently a very eco-conscious bloke. I have not been much privy to crime capers, but this was offbeat enough for me to do the page dances..Kudos to the writer for incorporating the use of a "Hooter's" waitress as one of the ensemble, a welcoming kitsch factor. I would read his other works, recently I hear he has written a children' book, fascinating CV
I have sent this on to the leggiest one in her tower of bamel! Cheers randomelement for sharing, good taste ar kidd!
cheers and volataires
best of croosboking to all.

Ah, Lucky Me indeed. I, too, have heard of the wonders of Hiaasen but have yet to try any. When I read the plot syonpsis for this one I had to give it a try. I've got a box to get out of the way but after that this one is up to bat. Thanks so much for including me, and I'll be back when I have an opinion!

UPDATE: 9/4/06 - This book was a lot of fun and a very fast read. I laughed out loud a few times and caught myself smiling or chuckling even more. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of his work. The plot was so wacky and kept spiralling out in bizarre directions, but everything pretty well hung together and the ending was most satisfactory. I've PMed the next person for an address and will hopefully get it on its way in the next couple of days. Thanks!
Unfortunately, the next person asked to be moved to the end, so we're on to Aliciayoung.
