Holy wow, what a scary book. Alternate history of WWII era America. Not gory, bloody scary, but it-could-have-unfolded-another-way scary.

Do you like books about conspiracy theories? What about WWII-era history? And how about mob psychology and group dynamics within society? And dirty secrets about popular figures in our past? You get all four with this one.

This was my first dive into the alternate-history genre. I'm going to look for more of that stuff and/or more by the same author. Mad props to the wife for scooping this up at the local bookstore.

Not sure what we'll be doing with this one yet; we might send it to my dad or a buddy of ours.
