Not the best I've ever read, but far from the worst. It was slow going at first, and I think the premise could have been laid out more clearly at the outset without ruining what the author was going for. Had I not known what it was about from reading reviews, I think I may have been totally lost and ditched it before getting far into it. That said, at least it is different and not a total cliche like so many other books coming out lately. But I'd suggest that you read some reviews to get a feel for the plot before diving in blindly.
