At our last mini-meet in Edinburgh, YowlYY and I discovered another common interest apart from books, chocolate and spending age chatting....KNITTING! I was really excited to get this book. Some of the patterns are just fabulous. The devil did try and tempt me to pretend that the book had got lost in the post, but I valiantly resisted!!
I'll be passing this on to flajol in a couple of weeks as we are meeting up to go the Wool Festival in Cockermouth. Hurray!
Thanks for passing this one on YowlYY. Sock pattern in the post to you soon.

P.S. Flajol and I had a top time at the WoolFest. I actually took the book with me to help me choose some yarn. Got a hank of some fantastic strong bluey/purple merino and silk mix yarn to make one of the scarves in the book. I actually liked this book so much I've bought a copy for myslf, which is the only way I was able to bring myself to hand this one over to flajol. ;-)

Prised from Bookfrogster's fingers this weekend! (Just joking BF.) I've had a quick look through already, and spotted four things I'd like to knit. I'm going to sit in the garden and have a proper read of the book, and decide what to make first.

Thanks for sharing, YowlYY. :o)

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

This book has some lovely patterns in it - some simple enough for beginners, whilst others are complicated enough to keep experienced knitters interested.

My favourite is the Celtic Braid Scarf. I've started it, but I hate making I-cord, and I'm slowly losing the will to live. :o) It'll be worth it though. I'll post a picture when it's done.

Now winging its woolly way to perditaxknit.

Received, many thanks. Some of these patterns look most intriguing on a quick flick through. And I've just completed a project, so I can start a few more, right? :)

I finally copied the patterns I want to make - Classic Cable Scarf, Draping Loops I-Cord Scarf and Celtic Braid I-Cord Scarf, so this is ready to continue on its travels. I'll PM Valer1e now.

Thanks for the opportunity to read this book - I don't think I would have bought it as there was a lot of eyelash/fluffy yarn worship in it - but the patterns I've copied are just gorgeous (hopefully the cable scarf will be my mum's Christmas present...)

Wow - how many years can I keep this book? I want all - well perhaps 90% - of them. Never mind how many books can you read before you die, how many scarves can you knit?

I promise not to keep it too long, but I have to go through the various phases - drooling, deciding, changing my mind, deciding, copying, changing my mind, deciding ................ you get the picture I'm sure.

Posted off to knitnurse today.

What a wonderful book - so many beautiful and useful designs.I've made notes on the ones I want to make, as I've not had much chance to find the right yarns lately.

There must be a lot more knitting and craft books out there that we could share. I will have a look at my own bookshelf and see if there's anything I could offer as a ring.

Thanks a lot for sending this one out. I really did enjoy it.

Thanks a lot Valer1e, I've been looking forward to this one. I'm almost positive I'm going to be tempted by at least one pattern. Excellent timing too with the cold weather on the way!

I have Tuftynut's address and will be posting in the next few days. I must admit I was a little disappointed, as a lot of the projects were using eyelash yarn which I don't like (yarn snob alert!!) but there were a couple of interesting patterns using techniques I hadn't seen (i-cord braids, etc.) It was lovely to get a knitting book on a ring and I hope I will see some more.

Oooh really excited, it looks a lovely book - I've just flicked through it as it came this morning and there look to be some great projects. I want to keep this book!!!!!

RELEASE NOTES:

On its way to veganknitter before I was tempted to keep this........ I have a real struggle in letting go of knitting books, I've photocopied a couple of pages but may have to look out for a copy of my own. Thanks YowlYY for sharing.
