Bought this for MrsMustard some time ago, but she's never been able to get into it. I'll give it a try before moving it on.

This turned out to be a surprisingly interesting read. I can't say I have any particular fascination with the subject matter, but the author really immerses herself in the Geisha culture and you end up being drawn along with her. It really is a decent insight into one aspect of Japanese culture, and as such is worth a look. It appears to have been written to cash in on the popularity of the hugely successful 'Memoirs of a Geisha' - which I haven't read - and I suspect that someone who has had their curiousity piqued by that novel would get even more out of this than I did.

On it's way to a fellow bookcrosser - tagesmann - as a RABCK. Enjoy!
Looking forward to reading this. Thanks MrMustard.
