Book Description:

She thought her date was out of this world. Actually, he was not of this world. ..

We've all been on bad dates, nightmare dates, dreadful experiences that turned out to be uniquely memorable in the very worst way. But at least our partners for these detestable evenings were more or less. ... human!

Now Kim Harrison, Lynsay Sands, Kelley Armstrong, and Lori Handeland- four of the very best writers currently exploring the dangerous seduction of the supernatural- - offer up dating disasters (and unexpected delights) of a completely different sort: dark, wicked, paranormally sensual assignations with werewolves, demon lovers, and the romantically challenged undead. Sexy, witty, chilling, and altogether remarkable, here is proof positive that some love matches are made someplace other than heaven.
*****

Very enjoyable! Kim Harrison tells us about Ivy Tamwood's story (before Rachel Morgan & Jenks); Lynsay Sands' story is delightful; Kelley Armstrong's Chaotic is exciting; Lori Handeland's story is good. Eek, two more authors to move to the top of my TBR!

Wow I just received this. Can't wait to read as it has been driving me crazy. Teri, I do think this went by way of China to get here. Can't believe it took so long. Sheesh!
I have one book ahead of this but hopefully will have in the mail next week.

All I can say is Thank Goodness I kept reading. I almost gave up twice in the first half of the book but glad I didn't. Now I have two more authors to put in my TBR pile.

Kim Harrison's Undead in the Garden of Evil was BLAH!!!!! I did not like this story at all and found it extremely boring. I really was going to stop reading the book but only kept on because I really like Lynsay Sands.

Lynsay Sands The Claire Switch Project really didn't fit in this book. It was too cutsie. I love reading her books but this was just not one of her better stories. I almost gave up on the book here too.

Kelly Armstrongs Chaotic was great. I now have a new author to look for. I found her story well put together with good characters from beginning to end. It really made up for the first two stories.

Lori Handlands Dead Man Dating was another goodie. I will have to read more of her work also. This story was cute and evil but a nice balance. The characters worked well together and the story did maintain a nice storyline to keep you enjoying from the beginning to end.

Thank you Teri for including me on this bookray. I will have it out in the morning to Tabby90.

Got in the mail today, thanks!

I pretty much agreed with everyone else here. I didn't like the first story. Maybe they should have buried that in the middle so it wouldn't put people off. I thought the Claire Switch was cute and the other two were great!
For a car trip I read my boyfriend the first chapter of Dead Man Dating, but he didn't really get into it and kinda thought I was reading a porno! I guess he's not used to reading frank references to sex in books.

I've already got NeedSun's address and it'll go in the mail tomorrow.

This book arrived today and since I just finished one, I will start it next.

Thanks very much for including me in this bookring, ladiibbug, I am very much looking forward to reading it.

I started reading this book and had to put it down. Fortunately, I had Dead Witch Walking, so I could read about "The Hollows" before I read Undead in the Garden of Evil. I understood the world much better after having read Dead Witch Walking and I found it pretty interesting to read about Ivy's life before Rachel. Still, I don't really like Harrison's vampires or the way the people in her world react to them.

Sands' story was a little annoying, in my mind, not up to her usual entertainment.

I haven't read anything from Kelly Armstrong in ages but after reading the story in this book, I am going to have to go and dig up Haunted which is the next in the series for me to read. Yes, the story in this book was that good.

The story by Lori Handeland was good enough for me to look into other books by this author.

Thanks very much ladiibbug for sharing this book. I sent it to RandomElement by air on September 21.

This book is on it's way to catsalive.

My favorite story was Dates from Hell. I want to find more by Lori Handeland.
My second favorite was Chaotic by Kelley Armstrong. I enjoyed the male and female characters in both.

Thanks for sharing your book.

Take Care,
Kecia

I tried 3 times but I couldn't get into any of these, I tried each story as well. I guess I'm just in the wrong mind-set. Rather than waste everyone's time I'll get this off to amberC who will appreciate it more.

Thanks for adding me to your bookring, ladiibbug.

Arrived safely today. I have a few other bookrings before it. Why do they always arrive in packs?

Journal Entry 14 by amberC from Darwin, Northern Territory Australia on Thursday, February 15, 2007
A nice, light read. I have read books by all the authors and enjoyed their other stories more than I did the ones in this book.

My favourite was Chaotic by Kelley Armstrong.

I will pass this along to Sally next time I see her.

I enjoyed this - only the first short story stopped it from scoring higher - see my review on my blog:

The bookray has ended - so am passing this onto my daughter as she expressed an interest in it when I was reading it on the weekend.

We will then release it somewhere

I didn't like the first story much - the other 3 were better. I must admit I didn't read as a complete book, I read a story between other books.
