From the back cover.
"At the foot of the Kollen mountain lies a small village where the children play unafraid in the streets. But the tranquility is about to be irrecoverably shattered by a most sinister crime when a young woman's naked body is found lying by the lake.
Inspector Sejer - smart, tough and enigmatic - is called in to investigate. Only he can uncover the dark secrets of this quiet community, hidden by deep family ties..."

Another splendid read by Karin Fossum. I hate parting with her books but one can only keep so many. Inspector Sejer is a very iconic character and usually keeps one guessing.

thankyou so much for the little parcel of books :) they were waiting for me when i returned home from my extended winter coastal sojourn
whilst i was away i read fossum's first novel - her work whilst dark at times always brings a surprise
i have in fact read this novel - it was one of the first i read which introduced me to karin fossum - and i still have a few more of hers to read/obtain - she has written lots!
i'll pass this on as a wishlist rabck (or more correctly a very late birthday rabck)
thanks again - fossum does write a good thriller
