Like Crow Road, Iain Banks begins this tale with a fairly straightforward storyline; the protagonist has a mission to find her errant cousin and bring her back to the fold of their religious sect. Also like the other novel, the mission leads to the uncovering of buried secrets and mystery that could change the protagonists life forever. I enjoyed this book very much. Isis is a very principled, likable character.
Ewen is considering rereading this, after/if not, I will bring it to a the Bookcrossing meeting.
