The basic story is about a stabbing in a play, where an actress is attacked with a knife, in both the play and in the alley after rehearsal. The first time she is stabbed she is just injured. The 2nd time it is fatal.
The 2 story lines aren't that complicated, and the author does a nice job of keeping the two mysteries straight.
The characters are interesting, and there are enough twists and turns to keep you guessing.
