I loved this book! Jen Lancaster has the ability (now) to laugh at herself and how shallow her values were in the past. I can totally relate, in particular, to her one experience of picking up race chips. If you have ever been at one of those events, everyone is (understandably) very fit. If you are not, (me), you stand out like a sore thumb. Loved her comment! I am looking forward to seeing her second book.

Contacting next on list to send it on.

Arrived safely this morning, with a lovely postcard from Wandering-B. I have one bookring in front of this one, but it shouldn't be long.

Even though american "chick lit" is not quite as good as british (yes, I know, this is someone's life, not exactly chick lit, but still :)), Jen's adventures make for a very entertaining read. Thanks for sharing this, icekween.

I have kihli's address and will send the book her way this week.

I wasn't sure how much I'd enjoy this book, but it as a gas. Jen seemed to keep her sense of humour despite some really bad luck and the more I read the more I liked her.
I loved it when she described herself as lacking an internal firewall to stop her saying exactly what's in her head..I know that feeling!!
I'd love to read the next book so I'm pning you now!! Thanks for sharing xx

I really enjoyed this book. I like her writing style - made me feel like I was listening to a friend. Not only was this an entertaining book, it also opened my eyes to the employment situation after 9/11. I didnt' realize that is was that bad for middle income earners. So - informative and entertaining. Will PM the next person on the list and send it off this week.

Thanks for sharing this icekween01! I usually like whatever you like - this was no exception.
