On the couch.
Received in the mail today. Thanks! Will definitely have to make some time to read this soon...I am in need of a financial makeover!
I've finally started my money makeover and this book definitely has some great plans to get me going. I think the most important step that this book addresses is that just changing your spending won't solve the problem. You have to change your way of thinking and of living. It's not all about having a great credit score. All that does is get you more credit...which is the enemy here! :) One quote that really resonated with me: Stop trying to keep up with the Joneses...they're broke!!
In the mail to reulte tomorrow as a RABCK. Enjoy!
Received and read immediately.
This is an excellent book on getting out of debt and staying that way. There are numerous "Budgeting Forms" in the back and the makeover is broken down into baby steps. Baby Step 2 - Start the Debt Snowball (a specific way to pay off credit card debt that allows you to feel progress as it is being made). Baby Step 3 - Finish the Emergency Fund. Baby Step 4 - Invest 15 percent of your income in retirement. While there are a few quotes from the Bible, they don't bother this particular non-Christian and Dave's general upbeat attitude about finances is contagious.
