I've been trying to get through this book for weeks. I'm not loving it right now, but I'm trying to suffer through and finish it. I hate to give up on books in the middle of them. I will make another journal entry when I finish it to give my final verdict. :)

I finished this book today. While parts of the book were funny, I just didn't form any kind of connection with this book. I really disliked the characters of Ignatius and Mrs. Levy. I will either list this on paperbackswap.com or take this to a meetup.

I caught the book from Paperback Swap, and regret that I intend to keep it, along with the other books I've collected about New Orleans. I read it years ago, loved it, will likely read it again in the next year. Or might just pick it up and read favorite passages from time to time.

I will release two other books in the wild this week to make up for keeping this one.
