Wow the novel the brought to life the movie that is very popular. I'm going to set this up as a bookring so I can clear some of my TBR list so I can read it.

Oh my goodness, what a scary book! It is as good as the movie, but different in several ways...I didn't feel like I was reading a story that I already knew (as sometimes happens when I've seen the movie before reading the book).

The shark is the same, and so is Brody, but the details of the hunt are different...and the sub-plots are too! Totally didn't expect that based on the characters from the movie!

When I was back in 6th or 7th grade, I watched the movie and it scared me to death and I never watched it again. So, I was actually a little surprised when I didn't find the book too terribly scary. (Although I can almost guarantee that I'll be thinking about that opening scene next time I'm swimming in the ocean!)
Overall, I liked the book, and I guess I'm going to have to watch the movie again. :)

I like the book, it wasn't scary but it was a thriller and a bit of comedy, I find scary parts funny. I know, I'm weird. I have too see the movie now, I never saw it but I bet it will definitely be a good watch.
