2004 Anchor Books trade paperback received in the mail from Glenrock, Wyoming, USA, through PaperbackSwap. Has an Oprah's Book Club dot whack to the right of the hand. Read more at randomhouse.com.

When the story broke at TheSmokingGun.com, I thought Frey was a tool. But I just got this book and I'm already on page 144. The man can tell a story, and I like his voice. There are no quote marks and no paragraph indents, which takes some time getting used to. The thing that bugs me, though, is the capitalization. His style is that all people (except man, woman & friend) & places (plus some words relating to treatment) are capitalized, but it's inconsistent, which really slows my eye.

RABCK to a fellow Mark Mulcahy fan in Portstewart, Londonderry, Northern Ireland. My books have never travelled to Ireland, so I'm including this with some CDs I've promised him.

9 out of 10

Got this book through the post from CT, U.S.A. Wasn't expecting it so it was a nice surprise, but before I could read it my wife got hold of it.
She just finished it tonight (July 12th) and so I finally get to read it.
For the record, she couldn't put it down - muttering something about 'romantic' and 'Arran Man'.
I'll update as I go along.

Finally sent this of to my friend in Yorkshire (only took me 5 months) with 'A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius'.
I loved this book and also read 'My Friend Leonard' (the follow-up).
There's a page in the back that tells you what happens to all the characters. I meant to tear it out but forgot in the rush to make the Christmas post.
