Since it could be a long time before I get around to reading this book I'm sending it out on a ring.

All participants must be prepared to send internationally. This ring will remain open until it retuns to me, all later participants will be added to the running order wherever makes most sense geographically.

Sorry for the delay in getting this ring going - let's start!

Running order is as follows:
Kizmiaz (Portugal)
deadendmind (Greece)
Psyche (US)

Just got it and will get to it as soon as I can.

The writing on this book is not easy but once you get into the rhythm you can’t stop until you reach the end. As we follow the main character thru her downward spiral we feel involved in her lucidity/insanity and her search for some sort of redemption.
Even though it’s unlike any other book I’ve read by this author I really enjoyed it.
I've passed this book to another bc'er during some vacation we took and I'll ask her to do a JE also.
Sending it to Greece today (20.09.2006).

I'm sorry to intrude!...
But I thank you all, especially Kizmiaz, for the chance!
Liked this book quite a lot, although not as much as "The Handmaid's Tale" and "The Penelopiad".
It is indeed a bit strange and definitly different from those two others (wich weren't much alike as well) but truly worth reading.

Thanks again and hope everyone else enjoys it as much.

Received safe and sound. I will get to it once I finish the book I'm reading. Thank you!

I finished the book a couple of days ago. It is a strange book, but I liked it. A bit difficult and slow, it took me quite some time to finish it, although it is not long. I can't really describe my feelings about it, but I like Margaret Atwood very much and I wasn't disappointed by this book.
Thank you purple-pixie for including me in this bookring!

I've pmed psyche who is next on the list and I'm waiting for a response.
