I was reviewing a show at the Edinburgh Book Festival when I was given this book. I wasn't actually at the meetup- it was raining, and I saw a group of people about to leave some seats under an umbrella! But I'd never say no to a free book. It wasn't great, I'd describe it as "intellectual chick lit", but it's still a wonderful idea.
I passed it on to a friend of a friend, after I was given what is essentially an old-fashioned chain letter- you send a book to the person at the top of the list, then send the letter on to six friends etc etc. Looking forward to a big pile of books coming through my door :)

Passed to me on a book exchange plan. I have never read Anita Shreve although have always meant to. Read the book in a day when I was laid up with a virus - really enjored her writing.Good storytelling, nice use of language.
