This book arrived today. I will journal again after reading it. Thanks. from the cover: In Los Angeles, a reporter investigating a series of murders is killed. In Chapel Hill, North Carolina, a beauriful medical intern suddenly disappears. Washington D.C.'s Alex Cross is back to solve the most baffling and terrifying murder case ever. Two clever pattern killers are collaborating, cooperating, competing-and they work coast to coast.

I did not intend to hold this book as long as I have-sorry. However, my husband and I have both read and enjoyed it. I love Patterson's short chapters. They always make me feel like I have time for one more chapter. This was an interesting book and it kept me guessing until the end. I will be passing it on to another reader soon. 12/26/07 Mailing this book to another bookcrosser-doehlberg, in Aiken, SC

I am appreciative that I will get the opportunity to read this book. I have always enjoyed reading about the Alex Cross character.
