Hit man Tony Giodone has seen some wacky whack jobs but this takes the cake. Sue Quentin, winner of a huge lottery jackpot, wants him to off her. She is so desperate to get away from her obnoxiously calculating and avaricious family, she feels that death is the only escape. Tony, meanwhile, has made a miscalculation. Ever since he was bitten by one of his targets, he has experienced three days of amnesia at the full moon, during which he turns into a wolf, so he usually locks himself away in a soundproof suite in the Plaza. Fortunately, he wakes up this time to find that Sue is still alive and well. A powerful bout of lovemaking leaves Tony certain that he has found his mate, and he will do anything for Sue, even kill her if that's what she wants. This unusual, artfully constructed, and enticing blend of horror and romance will have wide appeal with its male point of view, intensely sexy love story, and caperlike action.

It was an interesting read. Not quite sure how I feel about it. Good, but many things annoyed me.
Everything was told from the guy's perspective, and it really annoyed the heck out of me that every third or fourth sentence included some fruit or flower smell that he felt for a relevant emotion. It's fun once in a while, but all the time throughout the book?
Also I felt mostly that it wasn't really a paranormal romance, but more a romance+action+a few small paranormal episodes.
I really flipped through the last 50 pages to see how the book would end.
I don't really like books about mafia, so I guess this also decreased my pleasure in finishing the book.

Well I am really undecided about this one. It was more of an action/romance with a pinch of paranormal thrown in although the paranormal aspect suddenly came out more near the end making me wonder how the second part will be like (already signed up for a ring).

I didn't like the male perspective and I am not a fan of mafia stories (although the Sopranos is a fun tv series) so this wasn't a great mix for me. However some aspects kept me reading although it took me all week to get through it.

Will see what the second part is like...then maybe I will come back and edit this journal entry ;)
