I did fear that this book might be a bit heavy on the big hairy biker stories but that couldn't be further from the truth. This is probably my favourite read of 2005.

Highlights are the scenes with the guns in the Ukraine and the touching Mongolian street children. How can that not inspire you to support UNICEF? Thankfully I have not been inspired to sample some of the Mongolian culinary delights. Would you? I think by the ending there was a tear or two in my eye. What an adventure!

I've registered this as travelling as it goes to visit my dad who is welcome to lend this to any other wanna be biker-come-explorers with a rough plea for it to return to my book shelf. Who knows, perhaps it will visit some of the same places Ewan & Charlie did!
