"Readers of Princess Sultana's extraordinary story, 'Princess', were gripped by her powerful indictment of women's lives behind the veil within the royal family of Saudi Arabia. Now, the princess turns the spotlight on her two teenage daughters, Maha and Amani."
(From synopsis on back cover)
This is an amazing account of a woman's life in a country where women have little personal freedom. It is appalling what these women face every day. The story is funny, horrifying and very courageous.

Arrived in the mail today - I have two books ahead of it :)
Finished this morning - have PM'd gabbysmum for her snail mail - will mail off once I have go it.
This is a sequel to another book called Princess, which I haven't read.
It started off really well - then just died before it got to the middle - barely sustained my interest for a little longer and I finally gave up and skip read to the end. Yes the plight of women in some Muslim countries is bad - but this one just didn't get my dander up as others have done.
The spirit of Sultana did come through - and I really admired her spirit to up against traditions. The Middle East needs more women like her :) Thank you Dopsis for sharing this book.

Yeah!!! :-)
This book arrived yesterday and spent the night in Hubby's briefcase because all our mail goes to the school where he works! Thanks for sending it on to me mummafour! AND thanks also for the non-BC item you included...chocolate! Mmmmmm!
I have 'one and a third' bookrings in front of this one so it might be a week or more before I can start reading it.

Finished this intriguing book! Having read quite a few books on similar topics (ie the plight of women under the Muslim ideology) it appals me again to think of our Muslim sisters who don't enjoy the freedoms we do in the 'West'.
Thankyou dopsis for sharing this book with us all.
UPDATED:
As dopsis has said I can release this book as I see fit I plan to send it to another BCer who I think will enjoy it! If she's read it she can pass it along as she sees fit. :-)
