Embracing the Dark

I found this interesting-looking collection of supernatural stories with gay characters at the Glad Day bookstore in Toronto while attending the BookCrossing convention. It's got a new (to me, anyway) "Andrew" story by Jeffrey N. McMahan of Somewhere in the Night and Vampires Anonymous!
Later: the "Andrew" story, "Blood Relations", seems to be set before the events of the other "Andrew" tales, but some time after he first became a vampire. His parents aren't aware that he's... changed... and insist that he come home for a funeral; he's not happy about this, but once he lays eyes on his cousin Paul, all grown up now, things seem to be looking up. But when he gets caught taking a little nip - well, let's just say this is an entertaining variation on the standard coming-out story!
I enjoyed the other stories as well, from ghost stories to tales of possession to the werewolf story "Moon Time", with my favorite being "Works of Art" by Nina Kiriki Hoffman; it's a very unusual love story, featuring an artist with a peculiar quirk about how many of his artworks can be in existence at any one time. Unexpected and memorable.
