Mirrorshades is a collection of stories from cyberpunk authors gathered in 1986. Helmed by Bruce Sterling, Mirrorshades contains some real spectacular, edgy, and sometime expiremental short fiction. The stories are a mixed bag, not all of them will be for everyone, but there are some great highpoints.

The Gernsback Continuum by William Gibson, about a photographer that begins to see the world as it would have been, had all of the promises of flying cars and silver jump suits and mile high skyscrappers had ever come to fruition.

Tales of Houdini by Rudy Rucker. Rucker's take on the great magician meets reality TV.

Soltice by James Patric Kelly. The future's first Drug Artist and his clone make a pilgrimage to stone henge.

Red Star, Winter Orbit by Gibson and Sterling. The trials and tribulation on board a soviet space station as it nears it's end of life cycle.

These and other stories await the readers of Mirrorshades.
