Poor in comparison with other Iain M banks masterpieces , though the creation of the character Archimandrite Luseferous is stunning , and the whole idea of a book based on the strange physics of Gas Giant planets was compelling this was a meandering , tough read .

Can't remember how I caught this book. Enjoyed it, had to finish it. Now have to pass it on to another sci-fi enthusiast.
