***NOTE***

While I am a writer who writes long when the spirit, and the subject, moves him you, dear fellow Journaler, aren't required to put in anything but the bare minimum ( Where Caught, where re-released, or whatever other fate you have in store for the book, even a brief review ) ...BUT longer is permissible, and encouraged, IF you are so moved to do so by my own such entries.

***END NOTE***

Glenn Reynolds is one of the most important, and most read, voices in the Blogosphere.

His Blog, ( Instapundit ), is one of the top 5 destinations therein, and his, ( other Blog ), is popular as well.

The anticipation for this book, prior to its March Release, was great.

***UPDATE - 9/8/06***

As of 1230PM PST, today, this copy is the only copy of the title registered on Bookcrossing!

People must STILL be reading their copies. ;-D

***END UPDATE***

This Copy has the white jacket with the 3 rows of people on its cover, and has a faded chocolate stain on one corner of the page edges ( Remind me never to take a book with me to Ben & Jerry's! ). ;-D

The Blurb from the inside Cover:

"There was a time in the not too-distant past when large companies and powerful governments reigned supreme over the little guy.

But new technologies are empowering individuals like never before, and the Davids of the world- the amateur journalists, musicians, and small businessmen and women - are suddenly making a huge economic and social impact."

In this book the author...

"Provides an indepth, big-picture look at a world where the small guys matter more and more."

Individual effort, and imagination, has been influentual in all facets of our lives, and this book, I've discovered, shows that there is much going on that should make the "Goliaths" of the world take notice.

The author covers a lot of ground in just 268 pages, and gets too technical for me in 3 later chapters ( I DID get the gist of it, though ) but, on the whole, this is an important book with much on its mind concerning cultural, and economic trends, past, present, and future.

Released 17 yrs ago (9/18/2006 UTC) at Park at Euclid Ave. and Alcacia Pkwy. in Garden Grove, California USA

WILD RELEASE NOTES:

RELEASE NOTES:

A Themed Release!

Near the corner of the Park, near the intersection of Euclid and Alcacia, is a wonderful statue, and 2 benches. ( Click on Photo to enlarge it )

On the benches is the following quote by Guy Angelo Wilson:

"When the day ends, another begins, struggle turns to dance.

Somewhere beneath the union of our difference lies a passage to transcend ourselves."

I think that somewhere in that quote lies food for thought for Bloggers, and those in the media, and politics, that we often write about.

When I arrived, around 1045am, no-one was around, but by the time I finished filling out the sticker in the book, and looked up, a few minutes later, the woman, and her children were nearby.

I wonder if they found the book? ;-D

Journal Entry 3 by wingAnonymousFinderwing on Monday, September 25, 2006
I found the book the first day it was dropped by the bench when I stopped to eat lunch. At first I was suspicious that it was some kind of terrorist plot to spread anthrax or something to some unsuspecting reader- but I took it home and checked out the web site (while I left the book outside just in case it was going to blow up). I am halfway through reading it and it is quite interesting. I have several family memebers and friends I would like to share it with. Now who should I choose.....?
(By the way, I homeschooled my kids all the way thru high school. Hurray for the Davids!)
P.S. Sneakeasy- Thanks for sharing your book.

I was actually handed the book by the anonymous finder before me. The premise of the book clarified and expanded upon ideas I'd already encountered. The first few chapters really lay out the premise, then following chapters expand and give examples. I skimmed through some of the chapters.
I plan to leave the book somewhere near a library where another booklover is likely to find it.
