From the inside cover: A true feast for anyone who has ever been lost in a book.
If any of my students read this book I hope they notice Cornelia Funke's masterful use of simile and metaphor. Readers may even notice that I "dog eared" pages with similes and metaphors that I liked. I did this because when I was reading this book my reading classes were studying simile and metaphor in class and I wanted to share some good examples of these literary devices with them.

This book was released to an avid reader with whom it will fly to Japan and then to Singapore-and perhaps finally to Boston if it is not released before then. Should be a great book for a long trip. I hope it brings reading adventures to many people young and old on its travels.
Book made it back to Boston to my daughters house.
