This is your usual Mary Higgins Clark novel. A woman in jeopardy, small-town secrets, malice domestic, and a little dash of romance to keep things interesting.
While I figured out the who, I did have to have Ms. Clark tell me the why, and even though I could see most plot twists coming, I was genuinely surprised a few times.
It held my interest and entertained me. I think that's pretty darned good for a book of this type.

Gave to a fellow cast member of "The Mousetrap" last April.
