This was an excellent book. Very heart-rending, and felt very realistic. It's meant for older children/teens, but I didn't find it too simple by any means.

It's a fictional story about a 12-year old boy's escape from a prison camp in Eastern Europe, and his trip to Denmark. It was written by a Danish author, and has been made into a movie. I haven't seen the movie, and I will look for it on DVD, although I'm almost afraid that it won't live up to the book.

I gave this book to my mother and father, as my father's name is David.

They returned it without comment in a box with some other things they were sending me, so I'm not sure if they enjoyed it.
