Stephanie Plum, Janet Evanovich's bounty hunter star of Seven Up, is good at her job partly because of her infinite resourcefulness and partly because her world is one in which everyone on all sides of the law knows at least one member of her extended family. In this, the seventh offering in the Stephanie Plum series, she is chasing an elderly mobster who used to go out with her grandmother. Eddie DeChooch, though, is no less formidable for being old and he constantly eludes Stephanie, the police who want to question him about the corpse Stephanie found in his garage and Joyce, her arch-rival in the bail bond enforcement business. Stephanie's crowded social life gets ever more intense with her family pressing her to name a date for her wedding to Joe, her unreliable cop fiancé, her drastically attractive colleague Ranger, asking her for a night of bliss, her horribly perfect sister Valerie back from California with a down on men and the idiot stoners Moonman and Doug wandering around in super-hero costumes.

Sending out to Breeze144 to use in the Stephanie Plum Spiral (see Breeze144's bookshelf for details)
I haven't read this yet, as I'm on the spiral, so hopefully it will come back to visit me in the future before continuing its travels.

These books still make me laugh out loud. I'm not sure about the whole Ranger situation. I guess we'll have to see in book eight.

I love Stephanie. I love how the story lines keep getting better and better. The first few books didn''t flow and smoothly as the books do now. My only complaint is that I am starting to feel like the Stephanie and Joe relationship is plot driven. I''m curious to know how the relationship progresses in the next book.

Oooops! I've had this a few weeks and didn't realise I hadn't journaled on arrival. I'm reading it now so it won't be long before I send it on its way.

Do these get better & better or is it just me? These are such fun and there are several laugh out loud moments. I love Grandma Mazur, Lula and Mooner, not to mention Stephanie. And she still hasn't sorted her love-life out. I hope she hurries up, I'm not sure I can stand the sexual suspense!!

Off to celticstar!

Received yesterday in the post from candy-is-dandy.
Lovely to see this book enjoying it's journey and stopping by to see me again.

I'm just finishing off book six so should get to this one soon.

Although there is a standard formula for the Plum series, I've enjoyed some more than others so far but I guess I'd still recommend reading them in order.

HOT SIX ended with undercover vice cop Joe Morelli proposing marriage, well sort of :) Seven Up ends with another will she / won't she... but I'm not saying what.

I still love Grandma Mazur, Lula and Mooner was great too. Incompetent Stephanie hasn't annoyed me so much in the last couple of books... maybe I'm warming to her at last, we'll see.

I am taking this spiral over from Breeze144, it's gotten too much for her to do. So I am the new host. Does the last person who journaled still have this book? If so, please let me know. Just hold onto it until I try and get things straightened out/figured out. Are you still interested in any of the other books in this spiral? If so let me know that. I'm going to try and contact the rest of the people and if I don't hear back from them I will skip them from the spiral. Thanks for your help! Please e-mail me: [email protected]
