Registering for the race to 3 million challenge
I listened to this as an audiobook from the library, so it's time to set my paper copy free to travel. This was a fascinating look into the recent past of medical history. There are so many layers to unpack, and while the narrative couldn't cover them all, Skloot did an admirable job of presenting a complicated subject in an engaging story. It's part memoir, part history, part science, part social criticism, all deftly woven into a very personal story. I'm very glad I had a chance to read this, and I hope future readers will enjoy it as well!
