Stopped in for an Italian soda, and figured I check out the bookshelf. I might re-release this right away as part of the Canada Day release challenge.

Journal Entry 4 by rednumbertwo from Ottawa, Ontario Canada on Friday, June 30, 2006
I will be releasing it, but I can't believe I got the book finished in one day. (I guess that says something about how much work I've done today!) This novel wasn't at all what I expected. From the back cover:

Wife and mother, almost forty, Stacey MacAindra tries to take the edge off desperation with another gin and tonic. She is sure her husband has found another lover. That is exactly what Stacey is looking for.

I guess it sounded like it would be a tawdry romance, but instead, it's about all the difficulties and insecurities that can come from being a mother.

Found Friday June 30, Superstore on Barrington Street.

Typical late 60's early 70's populist feminist literature. Very reminiscent of "Wifey" by Judy Blume. Ok is you have nothing else to read but very dated in its content.

To be released in Killam Library Learning Commons on Tuesday July 4th.
