Originally published in 1906 in Italy, this was an early feminist book - the autobiographical story of a womand stuck in an abusive marriage.

I found this book sometimes frustrating/confusing (perhaps it was a translation issue?) but mostly an interesting insight into some attitudes and dilemmas of women before (and perhaps even into and after) their emancipation.

Because the author is from Italy, I'm counting this toward the Olympic Challenge in which I'm reading works by authors from every country that participates in the Olympics.
