I just love Augusten Burroughs. I really love his stories, they are just so funny and sometimes tinged with a bit of sadness. Dennis must be an extra special man to put up with him.

Thank you so so much tuffs517 for organising this ring. I am contacting miss-gonewest for an address.

I caught him! Many thanks to sarahbear for posting this book to me, I am dying to get stuck into another of Augusten Burrough's books - I adored "Running with Scissors"... as far as you can adore such a story!

Alas I am ploughing through "I Claudius" and have the sequel to get through too but hopefully I will have these knocked over in a few weeks and I can dive into this book.

I will of course keep you updated with my progress as I go along.

Best wishes.

10 out of 10

I LOVED this book! I had some concerns due to a few of the not so flattering reviews from fellow BX’ers, but I found this a delight to read. In fact I enjoyed it far more than “Scissors”.

I felt that unlike Scissors, this book had some heart and soul, and I especially liked the fact that there was almost a love story theme running through the book. The fact that Augusten found such happiness and love from Dennis after his woeful childhood, really cheered me up. I guess I liked the idea of a happy ending!

I will now try to get hold of a copy of “Dry” and look out for his new book that is released this month I think?

Many thanks for sharing this with me, I loved every minute of reading it!

I will send back to tuff, unless you want to see if the ring will continue with some new readers?
